The Tree-Chopping Beaver of Maryland

A wild beaver wandered into a local Target store in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, and headed straight for the seasonal aisle. Finding no real trees, the animal began systematically tearing open boxes of artificial Christmas trees and chewing on plastic lawn ornaments. Startled shoppers watched the animal create a massive retail mess until local sheriff's deputies arrived. Animal control officers successfully corralled the festive rodent and released him back into a nearby woodland area.
