By law, any child who writes a letter to Père Noël in France must receive a reply. In 1962, the French postal service (La Poste) passed a law creating an official Santa sorting office in Libourne. Today, a dedicated team of "elves" responds to millions of letters from around the world with a free, custom postcard.
