Singapore Towns See Residents Rallying Around Shoved Elderly Hawker
Local residents have launched a massive wave of community support for a 73-year-old elderly man who was recently assaulted at a local food court. The physical altercation went viral online after an agitated father overreacted when the elderly man patted a young girl on the head. In response to the footage, supportive customers, young children, and neighbours have flooded the senior citizen's noodle stall with handwritten letters, gifts, and continuous business to help him recover.
